Community and Work Ethics




Pitkit’s management and workers are committed to community and environment and the company has been participating in the CBI – the Council for a Beautiful Israel – for nearly 20 years. The CBI is dedicated to improving awareness of environmental values through its educational programs and projects.

Pitkit’s involvement in the CBI’s activities is in improving the appearance of the industrial environment to the benefit of workers and visitors by making the factory facility clean, organized, attractive and pleasant.

Pitkit has received 5 stars every year for the past 17 years for its efforts in improving the environment, and as a result is recognized as a ‘friend of the council’. Furthermore, Pitkit has been awarded the prestigious ‘flag of excellence’ honor for its work environment twice during this period.

Work Ethics

Pitkit is a member of SMETA – Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit. Sedex is a non-profit organization, based in the UK, that is dedicated to driving improvements in ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains.

Being audited by SMETA demonstrates Pitkit’s commitment to best practices in planning, training and execution of ethical trade audits and using a common format for reporting and corrective action.
